AWARDS

All place winners will be eligible for the Children's Museum Artist of the Month for June 2008.

1st Place:  $100.00 Hobby Lobby gift card

2nd Place: $  50.00 Hobby Lobby gift card

3rd Place: $  25.00 Hobby Lobby gift card

 

ELIGIBILITY

Open to students in Louisiana, Texas, Mississippi, or Arkansas.

Between the ages of 6 to 18 years old.

All artwork must be original and completed in the last two years. The museum reserves the right to deem ineligible any work that is considered inappropriate for viewing by children.

 

MEDIA/SPECIFICATIONS

Any medium is eligible.

Artwork should not exceed 20” in any dimension excluding matting and framing.

Each artist may submit one entry.

 

PRESENTATION

Accepted artwork should be suitably matted (framing optional).

 

ENTRIES

Label artwork with Name & Age, Title, Medium and Year Completed.

 

ADMISSION FEES

Regular admission fees apply.

 

EXHIBITION

The exhibition will open April 11, 2008, and continue through April 30, 2008. 

All accepted works must remain in the Children's Museum until the close of the exhibition.

 

DELIVERY of WORKS

Entries should be hand delivered to:

Works must be received by April 1, 2008. 

Deliveries will be accepted Monday thru Saturday 10a.m. to 5p.m.

 

RETURN of WORKS

Hand delivered works may be picked up May 1 – 10, Monday thru Saturday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

 

LIABILITY

All reasonable care will be given to objects in the custody of the Children's Museum.

The Children's Museum cannot assume responsibility for damage or deterioration incurred before, or after the exhibition, or for possible loss in transit.

 

REPRODUCTION

The Children's Museum reserves the right to reproduce accepted entries in press releases and on the Website.
